Today I find myself at an odd crossroads. The past, the present and the future. It also happens to be our presidents birthday, happy 48th Barack.
In trying to build this business of mine, Fabutron, I feel that I'm stumbling without falling. In fact I'm within my own version of retrograde.
I have three stumbling blocks. One is the motorcycle that I have seemed to have rescued but now have to pay $3500 for to salvage. Two is a new Apple computer that is necessary to the functioning of my business, I'm currently using my iPhone to type this blog. Third is the rent that I'm currently behind that I used to fund my business.
I tell myself not to panic, just be methodical and things will workout. However I can't help but feel some trepidation.
"Nothing worth doing comes without risks".
I wonder if I'm up to the task. If I'm mindful enuff, to carryout my plans. Doubts are many, but hope is paramount. It is in times like this recession that our mettle is tested, individually and nationally.
I can't help but wonder how many other Americans are in this boat. Then the answer comes, thousands if not millions. And though it offers little solace, I find the answer to my problems in one word, courage.
It is in times like this that our virtues rise to the top like the proverbial cream.
Courage in times that are bleak. Courage in times of stress. Courage in times if hopeless dispair. Courage from the depths of one's very core to weather the storms that rage around the Divine Us.
It is in these times that we must also turn to faith and all the strength that it had to offer. Looking no further than that one step ahead. Trying not to falter.
Looking towards that guiding light when you partake in that dangerous quest. It is the stuff of heros. It is the stuff that had made this country great. It is the greatness within the Divine Us.
Courage, faith, hope , virtues that make the human condition one that can be admired dispite all of our shortcomings.
Look within to find that Divine you, there you will find God, smiling.
Happy 48th Birthday President Obama.
